OK - so I am totally cheating and using a facebook post as a blog post, but nonetheless -
- I love The Daily Show and The Colbert Report.
- I really respect Steven Colbert both for his sense of humor and his ability to rise about the tragedy he has experienced in his life.
- I think the best part of going to work is the people I get to talk to. (Well, almost all of them;)
- I have, and always have had, deep religious convictions, but I discuss them with very few people.
- I respect people who have no religious convictions.
- I still think about going back to school to study counseling.
- I still dream of being a published writer. Ok - so I have been published in local newspapers - but I'm thinking something bigger.
- Sometimes I get too stuck in my own thoughts.
- I love my cat very much.
- When I feel sad, I like to look at phots of my wedding and listen to songs from the ceremony. It always makes me smile.
- One of my favorite memories from my wedding is when Steve took a sip of the wine we had - we combined two types of wine to symbolize our two lives coming together - he took a sip and swilled it around and then stood there and rubbed his chin - contemplating the taste. It made me laugh and think - that is why I love you.
- I felt incredibly at peace when we visited Yosemite. I also felt like I would be back soon and when I talk to other people about it - they say they feel the same - even though it was very hard to get to and we are not likely to go back soon.
- I am a vegetarian.
- I am married to a meat eater.
- My husband and I hardly ever fight about the last two statements, but often bicker over the appropriate tempature.
- I was so happy and proud to be there when Obama was sworn into office.
- I hope I am able to make people laugh.
- I hope I am able to be a shoulder to cry on.
- I have a restless spirit and am often looking forward to the next big thing.
- I have a sense of hope for our future.
- I just posted this and then realized I was supposed to go to number 25 - not 20.
- I think 25 is a large number.
- But not when it applies to age - then it is a very small number.
- As is 34.
- I plan to adopt my parent's wisdom "Old is whatever age I am not."
